The most common issue is not that DTF cannot withstand washing. It is that the wash process is more aggressive than the garment or transfer was designed for. Turning the garment inside out matters more than many customers realise. It reduces friction between the printed surface, the washing machine drum and other items in the wash. That abrasion is particularly relevant when washing garments with zips, hooks, heavy seams or rough workwear fabrics.
Use a normal, mild detergent and avoid bleach, fabric softeners containing aggressive additives, or powerful stain-removal treatments directly on the design.
